  I am writing this review after frequenting the Sports Garden DFW several times since the new ownership took over last year. It is greatly improved from the volleyball club of 10 years ago. It was "a place to play volleyball" back then, and they've done an excellent job of taking it to the next level and now offering a bar that is a place to play volleyball, as well as a great place to go watch bands, shoot pool or just hang out. The indoor area where the band stage is offers plenty of space to move about without being overly crowded, even when watching a band like Le Freak which I saw there several weeks ago. Overall, it's now a great venue and a good addition to the Valley Ranch area. I was told that the renovations have just begun, and there are great things and improvements in store for what is already a big improvement over the old Yucatán. The only food that I tried there was the thin-crust pizza and it was very good, as bar pizza goes. They also had a good selection of beer to choose from, including some micro-brews. Overall, a great alternative to visit, In lieu of driving down to Dallas or up to Frisco to find a good place to go out in the burbs.

  Previously known as the Yucatan Beach Club. The outside in back is setup with about a dozen sand volleyball courts. The local volleyball clubs like 989 sports train kids in two on two sand volleyball.
  
  The courts have hoses, there are showers, places to sit, an outside bar and food available for parents and spectators. Well equipped for sand volleyball.
  
  Inside there is a smokey bar stuffed with a half dozen locals smoking cigarettes that have likely been sitting in those bar stools since the late 80's. Multiple dart boards and a 3 pool tables are also inside.
  
  Good venue for sand volleyball games and training. Haven't been there to hang out at the bar so can't speak to it.
